On New Year's Day 2012, we met at the Secret Squirrel with a box of coffee and some donuts from Ike & Jane and swept the garage out a bit, hung a few of Charlie Key's paintings where they'd catch the eye, and set up for Nutritional Peace Double Quintet + 1 to play for a potluck brunch. Mercer West set up sound (including a clutch re-amping of Jeff's tiny Lunchbox amp) and we faced the beautiful outdoors for all our friends and hopefully it was a moment of full-heartedness for most if not all. We played two sets; this was the first one, a cautious proceeding (as we had never rehearsed as a full 11-piece). We're very proud of the results and hope y'all enjoy it. For all intents and purposes this is the band from now on. Recorded by our friend Sloan Simpson. Art by the very talented Addison Adams.
